Redshape

Redshape is one of the lastest names coming out of Berlin with considerable buzz about him.

There is little or nothing known about the man behind the red mask but he has had a number of releases in the last few months on labels such as Delsin, Styrax Leaves and Music Man.

There are rumours that the man behind the mask could be a high profile, already established producer, but it's likely that this is total bollox considering he's playing venues that hold about 200 people with tickets costing less than a tenner each.

He has recently just finsihed a Deetron remix and has an EP due on his own label Present.

Redshape plays Dublins Cavern on Saturday 23rd of June.

Audion

A new one from Audion (aka Mathew Dear). It seems he's been keeping himself busy doing remixes for both Blackstrobe and the Chamical Brothers along with his latest release Noiser.

The I'm a Man remix is probally my favourite, it's really tense and just builds and builds and eventually breaksdown after about 9 minutes. Could easily be one of the best tracks I've heard this year.

They have the full on electro sound that at this stage is nothing near original but at the end of the day, still rocks.

New Booka Shade Tracks

In between touring the world and working on the third album, Booka Shade seem have managed to come up with another 12" release.

The A side is called Tickle and on the flip is the more downtempo Karma Car.

Dj Blaqstarr

Blaqstarr is a Baltimore based Dj/Producer, and even though he's only 22 he has made quite the name for himself already.

He is the second act to be signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label, the first being the brazilian funk trio that are Bonde Do Role.

There are lots of samples here backed by some pretty heavy and fast baselines, altogether it adds up to be a pretty exciting sound.

The Chemical Brothers - We Are The Night

We are the night is the latest offering from the Chemical Brothers and seem to have, yet again come up with a very solid record.

As usual the album feature a wide array of guests to contribute vocals, this time round these include Fatlip (formerly of the Pharcyde), Klaxons, Midlake, Willy Mason and london scenester Ali Love - who does the vocal for the first single 'Do It Again'.

The album will be released on the 21st of June and you can expect to see them on many of the festival line up's later in the summer.

His first video was just released today and it's for the single Beautiful Life off CHROMOPHOBIA released earlier this year.

The video is deadly, it's so heartfelt, suits the song perfectly.

Chromeo is a name thats been floating around for a good while now. They are a New York/Montreal based electro funk band consisting of P-Thugg (keys and synths) and Dave 1 ( guitar and vocals). They relesed their debut album She's in Control back in 2004 and returned earlier this year with the massive hit Fancy Footwork. Along with supporting Bloc Party on tour Chromeo have also had some pretty high profile remixes.

Dan Deacon

Kitsune Volume 4

The very cool French label Kinsune, are due to release their Volume 4 compilation on the 11th of June. Anyone whos been paying attention to the first three compilations will know they have a keen eye to spot the bigger hits of the year.

Naive New Beaters

Yet another French electro act but still holds up very well even in the wake of acts like Surkin and Justice.

They are still curently unsigned but have already had the fast up and coming electro star YUKSEK do a remix on the single release.

The Single is called "BANG BANG" and even though an album has been available via their website, I'm sure a remastered version will be released in the coming months.

New single out today from Jence who is also one half of digitalism (jens - the little one).

It was released on Kitsune just before the digitalism album hits the shops and by the looks of things seems to have sold out most places within the day.

The single is called Wired and is similiar enough to the electro sound we have come to know and love Digitalism for.
